The Sharpening Operation


The Shapton System for sharpening is fast and easy for the following reasons:

  • The stones abrade the tool surface extemely fast.
  • It is easy to keep the sharpening stones extremely flat.
  • The pond and holders provide a solid and non-slip base to hold the sharpening stones.

The easiest way to appreciate the simpliciy and accuracy of the Shapton System is to view the videos. This is accomplished by clicking on the 'Video Archives' link to the left. Another way is to click on the 'Side Sharpeing' link on the left and read the linked paper.
